Liam Neeson is back in the driver’s seat for ‘The Mongoose’, a new action thriller that premiered its first trailer this week. The film follows Ryan “Fang” Flanagan, a war veteran who finds himself on the run after being wrongly accused of a crime.
In the newly released footage, Neeson’s character refuses to go down without a fight, launching a desperate cross-country escape that captures the nation’s attention. The trailer teases both the high-speed chases and the emotional weight behind Fang’s journey as he battles his military demons while fighting to clear his name.
Marisa Tomei plays Tara, Fang’s ex-wife, who starts by urging him to surrender but eventually rallies to his side as the pursuit intensifies. The cast also includes Ving Rhames as Tanker, a fellow veteran and trusted ally, and Michael Chiklis as Pope, the relentless law enforcement officer determined to bring Fang in.
Mark Vanselow, who is making his feature directorial debut after a long career as a stunt coordinator, takes the helm. His background in practical action work with Neeson on previous films brings real expertise to the project.
Neeson has built a legendary action career since his breakout role in ‘Taken’, and ‘The Mongoose’ continues that tradition with its focus on intense car chases, emotional storytelling, and tangible stunt work. The film hits theaters exclusively on October 30, 2026, through Samuel Goldwyn Films.
For fans of Neeson’s signature brand of gritty, high-octane thrillers, ‘The Mongoose’ looks like it won’t disappoint.
