Miley Cyrus Announces New Album ‘Bass Persuades’ and Hollywood Bowl Shows

Miley Cyrus is kicking off a fresh musical chapter. The Grammy-winning artist revealed plans for her 10th studio album, “Bass Persuades,” arriving September 18, 2026, along with two special shows at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in October.

The album follows Cyrus’ 2025 release, “Something Beautiful,” and signals yet another evolution in the singer’s career. For this project, she’s also streamlining her professional identity, going by “Miley” in her latest promotional push.

Cyrus announced “Bass Persuades” on September 1, describing it as an emotionally raw work that explores the full spectrum of human experience. In reflecting on the album’s themes, she talked about music’s power to capture both joy and heartbreak, describing the record as encompassing “heart full, heartache” and everything in between.

The album drops September 18 through Atlantic Records, her first major studio project since “Something Beautiful” released in May 2025.

In the weeks leading up to the official announcement, Cyrus had been teasing new material. She shared promotional images and later posted a video of herself playing electric guitar over a rock-inspired beat a hint at the sonic direction of this new era.

Cyrus will headline the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and October 18 in Los Angeles, with Model/Actriz as a special guest. The concerts are expected to offer fans their first chance to hear “Bass Persuades” performed live.

For Cyrus, these shows mark a significant milestone. While she’s attended concerts at the legendary venue as a fan, she’s never actually performed there before. The October dates will also rank among her most major live appearances in several years, following a performance at Mexico City’s Corona Capital festival in November 2022.

“Bass Persuades” comes just over a year after “Something Beautiful,” an album centered on healing, identity, and finding light during tough times.

In a July interview with Wonderland, Cyrus previously hinted at her next project, describing it as a multilayered love story that reflects where she stands personally. She spoke of exploring a more peaceful take on love and relationships, suggesting the new album continues her recent focus on deeply personal songwriting potentially with a guitar-driven edge.

The announcement arrives shortly after the death of Cyrus’ godmother, country music legend Dolly Parton, who passed away on August 25 at age 80. Parton’s influence on both Cyrus’ personal life and career has been profound, and the singer paid tribute to her following the loss.

Tickets for the Hollywood Bowl shows begin with an American Express presale on September 8, followed by Cyrus’ artist presale on September 9 and general sale on September 10.

With a new album, a new professional identity, and her Hollywood Bowl debut on the horizon, Cyrus is clearly gearing up for another defining moment in her career.
