Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival Puts Women Behind the Camera, Too

Olivia Rodrigo is making sure her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival celebrates women at every level not just onstage, but in the production booth as well.

The singer’s new female-forward music festival will feature a photography team composed largely of women, according to reporting from The Hollywood Reporter. It’s part of a larger vision for Daisy Chain Fields, which Rodrigo created as a celebration of women in music and collective action.

Taking place August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California, the festival brings together an impressive all-women and female-fronted lineup spanning multiple generations. The bill includes Rodrigo herself alongside powerhouse performers like Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Bikini Kill, Garbage, The Breeders, Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks.

Daisy Chain Fields is designed to be more than another major music event. Rodrigo has positioned it as a gathering space where women artists and women-focused organizations can connect with audiences while raising awareness about issues affecting women and girls.

The festival also emphasizes collaboration over competition. Using two stages, the organizers structured performances to let fans see more artists without forcing them to choose between overlapping sets.

That philosophy extends to behind-the-scenes work too. By featuring women photographers as the primary documentarians of the event, Daisy Chain Fields creates another platform for visibility for women working in the music industry.

When Rodrigo announced the festival in June, she described it as a longtime dream. Beyond the music, the event will support nonprofit organizations advocating for women’s rights.

The festival will direct its net proceeds to nonprofits working on these causes. Rodrigo has also committed $10 million to women-focused organizations, an announcement she made while appearing in Santa Monica alongside representatives from participating charities.

The festival has drawn comparisons to Lilith Fair, the influential women-led music festival founded by Sarah McLachlan who will perform at Daisy Chain Fields herself.

KATSEYE withdrew from the lineup after member Megan Skiendiel suffered an ankle injury during rehearsals. Her medical team advised rest before the group’s upcoming tour. Despite the change, the festival is moving forward as planned.

With its all-women lineup, nonprofit mission and commitment to female representation both onstage and behind the camera, Daisy Chain Fields is positioning itself as one of 2026’s most distinctive new music festivals.
