Actor Prateik Chaudhary recently achieved a personal milestone by purchasing his first SUV. However, instead of rushing into the decision, he chose to wait patiently until the timing felt right. According to the actor, financial independence and careful planning played a major role in this meaningful purchase.
A Long-Awaited Wishlist Comes True
To begin with, Prateik revealed that SUVs have always appealed to him. In fact, the Mahindra Thar had long been at the top of his wishlist.
“I’ve always liked SUVs, and the Mahindra Thar was definitely on my wishlist. I finally bought the white one. It’s big, bold, and loaded with the latest features,” he shared.
Interestingly, while many buyers prefer black or red, Prateik chose white. He believes the color gives the SUV a classy and unique appearance. Moreover, he added that simply looking at the car brings him a sense of calm and happiness.
Why SUVs Stand Out for Him
Meanwhile, Prateik clarified that although he appreciates cars, he is not overly materialistic. Nevertheless, SUVs have always remained his top choice.
“I’ve never been too fancy about cars. But I’ve always preferred SUVs. There’s something about their presence. Sitting in the driver’s seat gives you a royal feeling,” he explained.
Therefore, his preference is driven more by comfort and practicality rather than luxury alone.
Home First, Then the Dream Car
Importantly, Prateik revealed that buying a home was always his top priority—especially in Mumbai, where owning property is considered a major achievement.
“We all know that in Mumbai, owning a home is a big deal. I’ve always been independent and earned everything on my own. Security was my top priority, so I focused on buying property first,” he said.
Only after achieving this milestone did he decide to fulfil his wish of owning his dream SUV.
Managing Mumbai’s Traffic
However, despite the excitement, Prateik admitted that he does not drive very often due to the city’s heavy traffic. Instead, he mainly uses the SUV for shoots, gym visits, and important meetings.
“I often let my driver handle it. Mumbai traffic can be quite hectic,” he added.
Additionally, he shared plans for a future road trip. His friends and family have suggested destinations like Lonavala, particularly during the monsoon season. However, work commitments have delayed those plans for now.
Staying Grounded Despite the Milestone
Finally, even after achieving this personal milestone, Prateik maintains a balanced and grounded perspective. He consciously avoids becoming too emotionally attached to material possessions.
“I try to keep things normal. Getting too attached to material things can affect you. I’m a sensitive person, so I maintain a calm and practical mindset,” he concluded.
With his first SUV now parked in his garage, Prateik Chaudhary continues to focus on steady growth—both personally and professionally—while staying true to his grounded values.
