Evan Ross Katz, a journalist and pop culture expert, is bringing his popular “Shut Up Evan” podcast to Netflix as a lively video series that will start on May 1, 2026. The show, which comes out twice a week and is made by 32 Flavors, combines LGBTQ+ culture, internet trends, and celebrity insights into interesting conversations. It is based on his GLAAD Media Award-nominated audio show.
“Deep in DMs,” Katz’s signature one-on-one interviews with actors, musicians, and other people who are shaping modern culture, are on Tuesdays. “The Group Chat” is a rotating panel that talks about hot topics from TV, movies, memes, music, awards, and events on Fridays.
Katz said he was excited: “It’s an honor to bring my podcast to Netflix… They’ve turned a passion project into a fully realized video podcast.” “Allegedly with Ellison Barber” on Netflix (true crime, debuting April 29) is an investigative show; “Gabbing with Gib” on major platforms is for Bravo/Real Housewives chats; and Spotify and Apple’s ongoing “Shut Up Evan” audio episodes mix gay culture with pop analysis. These choices keep fans interested in unfiltered celebrity gossip during the podcast boom of 2026.
