Jack Della Maddalena Defends Welterweight Title Against Islam Makhachev

UFC 322 at Madison Square Garden was full of unforgettable action. Jack Della Maddalena successfully defended his welterweight title against former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev in a high-stakes match that millions of people around the world watched. Della Maddalena showed off his top-notch striking and calm defense, giving Makhachev a rare loss as both men tried to solidify their places at the top of the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.

Makhachev, who was on a long winning streak and wanted to be a champion in two divisions, put a lot of pressure on Della Maddalena during the main event. The Australian champion, on the other hand, stayed undefeated in the UFC, bringing his record to 8-0 and putting to rest any doubts about his ability to be a champion.

In the co-main event, which was also historic, former strawweight champion Zhang Weili moved up in weight to fight Valentina Shevchenko for the women’s flyweight title. This stacked card had exciting fights, big upsets, and fans couldn’t wait for more action from the UFC’s biggest stars.
