Witney Carson Pregnant, Returning for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35 With Guillermo Rodriguez

Professional dancer Witney Carson is heading back to the ballroom for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35 and she’ll be doing it while expecting her third child.

Carson announced the news Monday morning on ‘Good Morning America’, revealing that she’s pregnant and plans to compete in the upcoming ABC and Disney+ competition series. She also used the appearance to introduce her celebrity partner for the season: Guillermo Rodriguez, a personality from ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

The 32-year-old dancer and her husband, Carson McAllister, are already raising two sons, Leo and Jet. The couple is now preparing to welcome another addition to their family.

Carson said she intends to keep competing as long as she and her baby stay healthy. She acknowledged that performing at this stage of pregnancy won’t be easy, especially since she’s never tackled *Dancing With the Stars* while this far along.

The dancer described the experience as both thrilling and intimidating. She’s been managing nausea from her first trimester while training for the new season and caring for her two young children. Carson has taken time away from the show in the past to focus on motherhood, but Season 35 marks her return to balancing her professional dancing career with family life.

Rodriguez, who’s been a fixture on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, will be making his debut as a contestant on the ballroom competition. Carson expressed enthusiasm about the pairing, noting that Rodriguez is fun and personable.

The partnership presents a fresh challenge for Carson, who won last season’s Mirrorball Trophy alongside wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin. As a two-time ‘Dancing With the Stars’ champion, Carson remains one of the show’s most celebrated professional dancers.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35 kicks off with a two-night premiere on September 15 and 16, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available on Hulu the following day.

The complete cast and professional pairings are scheduled to be announced on ‘Good Morning America’ on September 2.

With a reigning champion returning to the floor, a new celebrity partner in tow, and a baby on the way, Season 35 is shaping up to be one of Carson’s most personal seasons yet.
