Catherine Zeta-Jones Fights Back Against Assassins in New ‘Kill Jackie’ Thriller

Catherine Zeta-Jones is diving into the action-thriller world with ‘Kill Jackie’, an eight-part series that pits the Oscar-winning actress against a team of elite assassins determined to end her life.

AMC+ has released the first trailer for the revenge thriller, introducing viewers to Jackie Price, a wealthy art dealer whose carefully constructed life explodes when she learns that professional killers have been hired to murder her.

The series, based on Nick Harkaway’s bestselling novel ‘The Price You Pay’, follows Jackie as she emerges from a decade-long hiding period. After spending 20 years as an international drug smuggler, she reinvented herself as a globe-trotting art dealer, keeping her dangerous past under wraps. But that peaceful existence crumbles when a ruthless group of assassins called The Seven Demons comes calling.

Rather than run, Jackie decides to turn hunter. The trailer reveals her dusting off skills she’d buried long ago, showing her taking the fight directly to the assassins.

Zeta-Jones leads an ensemble that includes Daniel Ings, Ron Perlman, Sidse Babett Knudsen, and Bill Paterson, with supporting roles from Óscar Jaenada, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, and Julian Barratt, among others.

The production brings together seasoned television talent. Tom Butterworth, a writer and showrunner known for ‘Gangs of London’, heads the project, while Damon Thomas, who directed episodes of ‘Killing Eve’, leads the directing efforts. Zeta-Jones also serves as an executive producer.

‘Kill Jackie’ premieres on AMC+ in the U.S. on October 2, 2026, with episodes rolling out weekly. International viewers can access the series through Prime Video and Stan, with the UK and Ireland getting all eight episodes on Prime Video the same day.

The series marks a significant departure for Zeta-Jones, positioning her in a gritty, action-packed role that explores what happens when a former criminal can’t escape her past.
