Chloe Fineman is moving on. The comedian announced this week that she’s leaving ‘Saturday Night Live’ after seven seasons with the NBC sketch series, marking the latest departure as the show gears up for its next season.
In opening up about the decision, Fineman acknowledged the bittersweet nature of stepping away from the program that made her a household name. “It’s hard,” she said, but stressed that now feels like “the right time” to turn the page.
During her tenure on ‘SNL’, Fineman earned recognition for her sharp celebrity impressions and standout comedic performances. Her exit comes as the show faces significant cast turnover heading into the new season.
The move appears to be part of a larger career shift for Fineman, who has several projects in motion. She’s set to appear in Netflix’s ‘Myron Bolitar’ series and is currently promoting ‘The Dink’, a pickleball comedy that just hit theaters. Additional upcoming work includes the film ‘Love Language’.
“I’m really proud of everything,” Fineman said in comments about her ‘SNL’ run, emphasizing that despite the difficulty of leaving, the timing feels right as she pursues fresh acting opportunities beyond sketch comedy.
