Netflix has officially greenlit a fourth season of Lupin, confirming the French heist thriller will return sometime in 2026. The streamer’s global phenomenon, led by Omar Sy as master thief Assane Diop, shows no signs of slowing down.
Netflix has announced a fourth season of Lupin, set to arrive in 2026, with Assane Diop returning for new adventures.
The announcement comes as the show continues to rank among Netflix’s most-watched international series since debuting in 2021. Season 4 will pick up following the cliffhanger ending of Part 3, which left Assane’s fate uncertain as he navigates personal demons and ongoing conflicts with powerful adversaries.
Sy is set to return in the lead role, alongside several other familiar cast members. Production is already underway through Netflix and production company Gaumont, with eight new episodes in the works.
“The new season is expected to maintain the show’s signature blend of stylish heists, emotional depth, and moral storytelling,” a Netflix representative noted, with the narrative continuing to draw inspiration from the classic Arsène Lupin novels.
Since its launch, Lupin has become a streaming phenomenon, breaking viewership records for non-English language series on the platform. The show’s success underscores Netflix’s growing bet on international productions to drive global engagement.
While Netflix has locked in a 2026 release window for the new season, the streamer hasn’t announced a specific premiere date. More details are expected to roll out as production continues.
