A Simple Birthday Celebration
Television actor and anchor Namitaa Sachdeva celebrated her birthday on August 14. However, this year’s celebration was quieter than usual.
Currently seen in Woh Subha Hum Hi Se Aayegi, Sachdeva chose to keep things simple. Instead of planning a lavish party, she focused on family, blessings and gratitude.
The actor had not been keeping well. Therefore, she decided not to make major plans for the day.
“I was not very well, so I haven’t really planned anything yet,” Sachdeva said.
Still, she plans to celebrate properly in the coming week. So, the birthday fun is not over just yet.
Work Came First on Her Birthday
Interestingly, Sachdeva did not take the day completely off. Despite feeling unwell, she continued working on August 14.
The actor describes herself as a “very workaholic person.” For her, work brings a sense of productivity and satisfaction.
Therefore, even a special occasion does not necessarily mean stepping away from professional commitments. Instead, she prefers staying active and doing what she enjoys.
She Loves Parties, Dancing and Good Company
Although this year was low-key, Sachdeva genuinely enjoys celebrating her birthday.
She loves going out for dinner. She also enjoys dancing and spending quality time with friends.
“After work, you should party, dance and just have a good time,” she explained.
However, celebrating in Mumbai can also make her miss home. Her sisters are in Delhi, while she lives away from her family.
Fortunately, her close friends help fill that gap. “My friends are also like family sometimes,” she said.

Even though friends have become an important support system, Sachdeva says nothing can replace her parents.
Her birthday rituals reflect that emotional connection. Every year, she makes time for spiritual visits and blessings.
She visits a Gurudwara or temple. She also seeks blessings from her parents, spiritual guide and mentors.
Moreover, she enjoys simple birthday traditions such as buying new clothes and dressing up.
“I don’t like sitting dull on my birthday,” she said with a laugh.

“I would gift myself a lot of smiles.”

Sachdeva also looks back fondly at the gifts her parents have given her over the years.
One present remains particularly close to her heart. Her mother once gifted her a car.

“My birthday is incomplete without my mom and dad,” she said.
