NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Gets a Celebrity Makeover: Keke Palmer to Host 2027 Spinoff

NBC is shaking things up with its beloved reality competition ‘The Voice’. The network announced Wednesday that it’s launching ‘The Voice: Celebrity’, a brand-new spinoff premiering in 2027 that will pit famous faces against each other instead of unknown singers.

Keke Palmer, the actress, singer, and TV personality, will host the star-studded competition—a significant change from Carson Daly, who has been the show’s face since it debuted in 2011. However, Daly isn’t completely stepping away; he’ll remain on board as a producer for the celebrity edition.

“Palmer’s experience across television, music, and acting made her the natural choice,” an NBC spokesperson said, noting that she’s expected to bring fresh energy to the franchise.

Unlike the traditional ‘Voice’, which hunts for undiscovered talent, the celebrity edition will feature actors, athletes, comedians, influencers, and other well-known personalities competing in blind auditions and battling it out for the first-ever celebrity championship title.

The coaching panel will include Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green—a mix of music and entertainment heavyweights ready to mentor the famous competitors.

To keep viewers engaged, NBC is introducing several new twists: a ‘Voice Boot Camp’ for additional coaching, a ‘VIP Room’ where celebrities watch auditions together, and a ‘Workroom’ that gives audiences an inside look at how contestants prepare.

The network plans to roll out more details about celebrity participants and premiere information as 2027 approaches.

Before the celebrity spectacle arrives, fans can look forward to Season 30 of the standard ‘Voice’, which premieres September 21, 2026, with Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green as coaches.
