Horror fans are in for a chilling surprise this fall. Nikki, the terrifying protagonist from the breakout horror film ‘Obsession’, will be stalking the grounds of Universal Studios Hollywood during the 2026 Halloween Horror Nights event.
Universal made the announcement during its Halloween Horror Nights panel at Midsummer Scream, revealing that guests will encounter the character roaming the darkened streets of the theme park. Rather than a traditional haunted house experience, Nikki will appear as a live character bringing one of recent horror’s most disturbing figures to life.
According to Universal, Nikki serves as the “latest victim” of the One Wish Willow’s curse. In ‘Obsession’, a man named Bear weaponizes the supernatural object to force Nikki to fall in love with him. What starts as a twisted supernatural fantasy quickly spirals into a nightmare, stripping Nikki of control over her own actions and transforming her into something horrifying.
It’s a significant distinction Nikki isn’t your typical horror villain. Instead, her terrifying behavior stems from supernatural possession, making her as much a victim as she is a source of terror.
Universal has kept details about Nikki’s interactions with guests under wraps for now, but the studio has hinted that visitors exploring the park may stumble upon her unexpectedly.
The film, written and directed by Curry Barker, has emerged as one of 2026’s standout horror releases. Inde Navarrette’s performance as Nikki proved pivotal to the film’s success, though it remains unclear whether Navarrette will personally portray the character at the event.
The addition signals an interesting creative shift for Halloween Horror Nights rather than adapting a film into a traditional haunted house, Universal is injecting a live character directly into the experience.
Nikki joins an expansive slate of attractions for Halloween Horror Nights 2026. Returning favorites include ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’, while new experiences like ‘Dead, Deader, Deadest’ and ‘KILLceañera: Music by SLASH’ featuring an original score by legendary guitarist Slash will debut.
Guests can also expect ‘Terror Tram starring Art the Clown’, ‘The Purge: Dangerous Waters’, and haunted houses based on ‘Sinners’, ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Hellraiser’, and ‘Evil Dead Burn’. An ‘Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness’ experience will pay tribute to the metal icon’s legacy.
A new daytime offering, the ‘Unmasking the Horror Tour Add-On’, will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at select haunted houses with the lights on.
Halloween Horror Nights 2026 kicks off September 3 and runs on select nights through November 1. With Nikki’s unpredictable presence now part of the mix, ‘Obsession’ fans have all the reason they need to plan their visit.
