Perez Hilton Hospitalized After Police Respond to Disturbing Livestream at His Miami Home

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was rushed to a hospital Tuesday after Miami-Dade authorities arrived at his Miami home following a distressing livestream that sparked emergency calls from alarmed viewers online.

Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office were sent to Hilton’s residence after receiving reports that the media personality appeared to be harming himself during a social media livestream. When officers arrived, they found Hilton alone inside the home and immediately focused on crisis intervention and de-escalation tactics rather than confrontation.

Authorities spoke with members of Hilton’s family at the scene as they worked to assess what was happening. Officers followed established procedures for mental health emergencies, recognizing that giving the situation time and space for communication could prevent further harm.
