Prime Video has issued a plea to enthusiasts of the beloved series to keep their distance from filming locations in North Carolina, where production recently kicked off. The streaming giant says fans showing up on set and posting exact locations online have become a real problem, disrupting schedules and raising safety red flags.
“We’re asking fans to respect the process,” a Prime Video spokesperson said, emphasizing the need to maintain what they’re calling a “protected bubble” around production.
The issue has already surfaced. Photos and videos of stars like Lola Tung and Christopher Briney have popped up on social media, sparking rumors about where the story’s heading. While that excitement is flattering, Prime Video says it’s creating headaches for cast, crew, and the overall filmmaking effort.
Even Jenny Han, the author and creator behind the adaptation, has chimed in. She’s urging fans to be patient, noting that interruptions can throw off performers’ focus and compromise the final product.
“We want to deliver the best possible conclusion to this story,” Han said in her own appeal.
The movie marks the end of the road for the franchise that launched in 2022 and became a global phenomenon. Fans are especially eager to see how the central love triangle involving Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah finally resolves—but those details remain locked down tight.
Filming started in late April, with the movie expected to arrive sometime in 2027. Prime Video’s message to fans? Show your enthusiasm from home. The team promises it’ll be worth the wait.
