Rebel Wilson Clears Defamation Case Over ‘The Deb’ Posts

Rebel Wilson has won a defamation case filed by actress Charlotte MacInnes over social media posts connected to Wilson’s film ‘The Deb’. An Australian court dismissed the claim after finding MacInnes failed to prove the posts caused serious harm to her reputation.

MacInnes, who appeared in ‘The Deb’, had argued that Wilson’s Instagram posts suggested she had changed her account of an incident involving producer Amanda Ghost in exchange for career benefits. However, Justice Elizabeth Raper ruled that the posts were not defamatory in the way MacInnes claimed.
