She and her partners launched Homemade Café. Later, they expanded with 1BHK and several other restaurant ventures.

“We were actors. We didn’t come from a restaurant or business background. We learnt everything on the job.”

Simple revealed that closing her Juhu restaurant because of building redevelopment was especially painful.
The outlet had become one of her favourite branches. Moreover, it was performing exceptionally well.
“You create something with so much love and become attached to it. Then circumstances beyond your control force you to let it go.”
Although the closure was unavoidable, letting go of something built with years of dedication was heartbreaking.

From rising operational costs to changing customer preferences, the hospitality business tested her patience.

“Now I can choose the kind of work I genuinely want to do. That freedom is extremely important to me.”
