Taylor Momsen Hospitalized After Venomous Spider Bite on AC/DC Tour

Taylor Momsen, the lead singer of a pop-rock band and a former star of Gossip Girl, has been hospitalized after being bitten by a poisonous spider while on tour with AC/DC in Mexico City. Momsen is the lead singer of the band The Pretty Reckless. She is currently the opening act for AC/DC’s “Power Up” tour in 2026, and the incident has gotten a lot of attention from fans and the music press.

Reports say that the “Take Me Down” singer was bitten by a poisonous spider during or right after a show in Mexico City with AC/DC. At first, the bite looked like a bad rash on her leg that spread up, so doctors gave her medicine and kept a closer eye on her. Later, Momsen posted pictures and updates on Instagram that showed the area that was bitten and said that the bite “did a number” on her body.

Momsen wrote on social media, “Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO,” showing how determined she was to keep performing despite what she was going through. The next day, she sent another update, joking that she might just “spend the night in the hospital” while thanking the “amazing doctors” who took care of her. These posts have gone viral, with people praising her strength and saying they are glad she is responding to treatment.

Momsen has said she plans to keep going with the tour schedule, even though being in the hospital has clearly taken a toll on her. This is in line with her “show must go on” attitude. There have been no cancellations yet, but fans should keep an eye on the official AC/DC and The Pretty Reckless social media pages for real-time updates on upcoming dates in Latin America and other places.
