Hudson Williams Playing Dual Roles in Crave’s Mysterious Thriller ‘Yaga’

Hudson Williams is stepping into uncharted territory. The actor, best known for his breakout role in ‘Heated Rivalry’, will play two characters in ‘Yaga’, Crave’s upcoming mystery thriller inspired by the legend of Baba Yaga.

Williams has been cast as Henry and Logan in the series, Crave announced on social media, adding another layer of intrigue to the highly anticipated show.

Until the casting reveal, Williams had been publicly linked to the role of Henry Park, a young heir to a prominent fishing family whose mysterious disappearance kicks off the entire investigation. Private investigator Rapp, played by Noah Reid, travels to a small coastal town to uncover what happened to him.

The news that Williams is also playing Logan has left fans and critics wondering what else the show has up its sleeve. Details about Logan remain tightly under wraps, making him one of Yaga’s biggest secrets before it hits screens.

Interestingly, the television adaptation differs from its source material. Playwright Kat Sandler’s original stage production Yaga featured one actor in dual roles, but the TV version has restructured the characters. Logan appears to be entirely new to the story.

The series reimagines the Slavic folklore figure Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller set in a small coastal community. When a disappearance rocks the town, a private investigator, local detective, university professor, and a cast of mysterious characters all become entangled in the investigation.

As Rapp digs deeper into Henry’s vanishing, he uncovers a tangled web of secrets, complicated relationships, and supernatural elements.

The ensemble cast includes Carrie-Anne Moss as enigmatic professor Katherine, Clark Backo as local detective Carson, along with Ezra Franky and Patrick Gilmore.

Yaga arrives on Crave in October 2026, with all eight half-hour episodes coming to the platform in Canada. The series will also stream on AMC+ in the U.S. and has been picked up internationally by Sky in the U.K. and Ireland.

For Williams, Yaga represents another significant step in his rising career and his dual performance could be exactly what sets this thriller apart from the rest.
