Now, nearly two decades later, the much-anticipated sequel is gearing up to bring the same comedic magic with a fresh twist.
Shemaroo Entertainment and Roaring River Productions Join Forces for the Sequel
The rights to Bhagam Bhag 2 were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions. Sarita, who has long been involved in the film industry, is not only producing the sequel but has also been working on the script. Her husband, Ashwin Varde, a renowned producer behind hits like Kabir Singh, Mubarakan, and OMG-2, will also lend his expertise to the project.
“We are excited to partner with an incredible team to continue the legacy of Bhagam Bhag,” says Hiren Gada, CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment. “We are committed to delivering more laughter, more fun, and more entertainment with this sequel.”
Why the Long Wait?
The decision to make Bhagam Bhag 2 took time, but as Sarita Ashwin Varde explains, “A special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as special. When the time was right, we decided to take the plunge.”
Currently in the final stages of writing, the film is scheduled to begin production in mid-2025. While official details about the cast and storyline are still under wraps, the makers have teased that the sequel will be “madder, more wilder, and funnier” than ever before.
