LET HIM GO – Movie Review

LET HIM GO” is an apt movie to come out when it is time for “Trump To Go”. When peace and justice is denied, one must overcome and conquer for peace and unity to prevail. Now when you have veteran stalwarts like Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, you are in for some emotional drama that will engulf you. It is a little predictable, but it is indeed an edge of your seat vendetta saga.

   At times it does get intense. This is the kind of film that has that old mid-west values, where the feelings that are expressed, is that family is all you got. Set in the early 60’s in North Dakota, Costner and Lane, play grandparents, whose daughter-in-law has become a widow, since their son died of a horse accident on their ranch. They accept later on that she is remarrying someone else now to raise her child, but suddenly without a trace they are gone. Not even a goodbye,

   The suspense now begins, and both Costner and Lane go out to find out where have moved in Dakota. Only to find in horror, of what the sheer state of being, that her ex-daughter-in-law and their grandson have now been living. The abuse that they face, from their new dysfunctional psychotic joint families behaviour gives you goosebumps. Now its up to the grandparents to find a safe path to bring their kin back home.

   The calm before storm in their performances are what keeps the fuel burning for this saga. The film is gripping. Courtesy Awesome TV & Being Filmy!
