Star-Studded Cast Takes the Wheel in New Maserati Biopic

Hollywood is revving up for another automotive drama. The first trailer for “Maserati: The Brothers” dropped this week, introducing audiences to an all-star cast bringing the true story of Italy’s legendary car-making family to the big screen.

The film reunites acting legends Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins with Jessica Alba, Andy Garcia, Michele Morrone and Salvatore Esposito. Oscar-winning director Bobby Moresco is helming the project, which traces the Maserati brothers’ transformation from a small Bologna workshop into racing royalty.

The trailer positions Pacino and Hopkins as central figures in a tale fueled by ambition, family loyalty and the cutthroat world of early motorsport. Pacino takes on the role of Vincenzo Vaccaro, an automobile investor backing the Maserati family’s lofty dreams, while Hopkins plays Luca Antonelli, a well-heeled Italian financier who becomes instrumental to their rise.

Morrone portrays Alfieri Maserati alongside Esposito and Lorenzo de Moor as family members, with Alba and Garcia rounding out the cast.

Set in early 20th-century Italy, the biopic follows brothers Carlo, Alfieri, Bindo, Ettore and Ernesto as they chase their passion for engineering into a full-fledged automotive empire. Their journey, however, is marked by tragedy including Carlo’s death from tuberculosis and Alfieri’s fatal racing accident and mounting financial pressures.

Production went all-out on authenticity, building roughly 60 vehicles based on Maserati models from the 1920s and 1930s, including the iconic Tipo 26. Crews filmed across Italy, from Bologna to Rome’s Cinecittà Studios, with shooting that began late last year extending into 2025.

The film hits theaters November 4, 2026.
