British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The charges involve allegations made by five women spanning incidents between 2007 and 2016.

Clarke is best known for his roles in the Kidulthood film series and as Mickey Smith in the BBC’s Doctor Who. He also wrote and directed films including Adulthood and Brotherhood.

The actor is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on October 21. The charges follow a Metropolitan Police investigation that began in September 2025.

Bethan David, deputy chief crown prosecutor for London, said prosecutors had determined there was sufficient evidence to charge Clarke and that it was in the public interest to proceed.

The allegations spanning nearly a decade come after Clarke faced separate accusations of sexual misconduct and bullying in 2021. Clarke has previously denied those allegations. In February 2026, he was also arrested in connection with an allegation relating to an attempted rape in 2007.

Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the women connected to the charges are receiving support from specially trained officers. The Metropolitan Police has urged anyone who believes they may have been a victim of sexual assault to come forward, assuring that reports will be handled sensitively.

Clarke remains legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The CPS has also asked the public to avoid commentary that could prejudice the proceedings.
