Spider-Man is heading for another box office victory this weekend, as Tom Holland’s latest web-slinging adventure looks poised to hold the No. 1 spot for a third consecutive week despite fresh competition.

The Marvel blockbuster is projected to earn around $67 million domestically over the weekend, according to early estimates. Two new releases the sci-fi adventure ‘The End of Oak Street’ and the animated family film ‘PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie’ are taking aim at the top spot, but neither appears likely to dethrone the superhero juggernaut.

The success of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been nothing short of historic. The film became the fastest movie ever to reach $700 million domestically and has already crossed the $1 billion mark worldwide. After just 10 days in theaters, it’s racked up approximately $1.67 billion globally, cementing its status as one of 2026’s biggest theatrical hits.

“The film’s strong hold comes after two impressive weekends that have established it as one of the biggest theatrical hits of the year,” according to reports from the box office tracking services.

‘The End of Oak Street’, featuring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor in a dinosaur-filled adventure, pulled in $8.1 million on Friday. Early projections had suggested it might open with $20 million or more, but that forecast has now been scaled back.

Meanwhile, Paramount and Nickelodeon’s ‘PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie’ earned approximately $7.35 million on Friday, placing it behind both Spider-Man and ‘The End of Oak Street’. While the film offers family-friendly fare, it’s facing an uphill battle against Holland’s superhero blockbuster.

The remarkable run of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ continues to define the summer box office season, joining Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ as another major cinematic success story that has crossed the billion-dollar threshold worldwide.
