At Disney’s latest fan event, the studio teased a royal wedding in Arendelle that gets disrupted by a mysterious new villain. The film reunites the original voice cast, with Kristen Bell returning as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, Idina Menzel as Elsa and Josh Gad as Olaf.

Fans have watched Anna and Kristoff’s romance develop since the first ‘Frozen’ film. The pair reached a turning point in ‘Frozen 2’ when Kristoff finally proposed and now the third film appears ready to bring them down the aisle.

But the wedding won’t be a simple happily-ever-after moment.

A new villain is set to interrupt the royal celebration and introduce another major threat to Anna, Elsa and their friends. Disney hasn’t revealed who this antagonist is or how they fit into the ‘Frozen’ universe yet.

The new villain could also pull Elsa into another magical journey. Reports suggest the sequel will split focus between Anna’s wedding storyline in Arendelle and Elsa’s connection to the wider magical world.

Josh Gad is returning as Olaf, and the lovable snowman has his own storyline in ‘Frozen 3’. Disney has teased a new song for the character centered on love and romance. His comedic moments are expected to balance out the film’s darker elements as the villain enters the picture.

The core cast is reuniting for the third installment. The film is being directed by Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy, while Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are returning to compose the music.
