Oasis Brothers Reunite in Venice for Documentary Premiere

Liam and Noel Gallagher put on a united front at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, walking the red carpet together for the world premiere of ‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger’. It’s another milestone moment for the British rock legends as they continue their unlikely comeback after years of bitter public feuding.

The documentary follows Oasis’ blockbuster ‘Live ’25’ reunion tour, which finally brought the estranged brothers back onstage together. Directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace with a screenplay by Steven Knight, the film weaves together concert footage with behind-the-scenes rehearsals, candid backstage moments and intimate interviews with the Gallagher siblings.

“It’s a story about reconciliation, redemption and forgiveness,” Knight said of the project, which goes deeper than your typical concert film.

The appearance at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival was particularly poignant given the toxic relationship that led to Oasis’ split in 2009. Seeing Liam and Noel together—let alone posing for photos would have seemed unthinkable just a few years ago.

The documentary captures more than just the scale of the reunion. It explores the emotional journey behind bringing the band back together, complete with previously unseen rehearsal footage and the brothers’ first joint interview in over two decades.

‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger’ arrives in cinemas and IMAX on September 11, 2026, before streaming on Disney+ internationally and Disney+/Hulu in the U.S.

The Venice premiere marks yet another chapter in one of rock music’s most complicated family sagas one that has finally found its way toward redemption.
