Netflix isn’t letting the Valley Forge crew off the hook just yet. The streaming service has officially green-lit a fourth season of ‘Tires’, the workplace comedy starring Shane Gillis and Steve Gerben, following the third season’s impressive debut earlier this month.
The renewal announcement comes just weeks after Season 3 dropped on the platform. The latest installment has been a breakout hit, climbing to No. 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV list during the week of August 17 the show’s strongest performance to date. Since launching, the comedy has racked up more than 45 million views across its first three seasons.
Created by Gillis, Steve Gerben and John McKeever, ‘Tires’ centers on the messy inner workings of Valley Forge Automotive Center. Gerben plays Will, an anxious heir struggling to keep his family’s auto-repair business from falling apart. Things only get worse when his unpredictable cousin Shane, portrayed by Gillis, joins the operation and sends everything into chaos.
What started as a scrappy indie project has become a streaming fixture. Back in 2019, Gillis uploaded a pilot to YouTube before the trio self-financed and produced the first six episodes themselves in Pennsylvania. Netflix eventually scooped up the series and transformed it into a full-fledged original comedy.
Gillis kept his response brief but enthusiastic about the renewal, while co-creator McKeever was more expansive in his excitement.
“I love this show and everyone who works on it,” McKeever said.
Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s vice president of U.S. comedy, praised the show’s growing fanbase and its willingness to push boundaries.
“Tires continues to deliver the distinctive and unapologetic comedy that audiences have come to expect,” Pakosta said, pointing to Season 3’s record chart performance as proof the show’s appeal keeps expanding.
Netflix hasn’t revealed specifics about Season 4’s storyline yet, but expect the show to pick up where Season 3 left off. The latest season put Will and Shane’s friendship and business under intense pressure, forcing the cousins to grapple with their complicated past as they figure out their next move.
As for casting, Gillis and Gerben are locked in for their lead roles. The ensemble also includes Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Thomas Haden Church, with guest stars like Andrew Schulz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Billy Magnussen, Bobby Lee and Dan Soder making appearances throughout the series.
Don’t expect a Season 4 release date anytime soon. Given the show’s previous production timeline, viewers could be waiting until at least 2027 for new episodes.
The ‘Tires’ renewal is part of a larger deal between Gillis and Netflix. Earlier this year, Gillis and McKeever inked a creative partnership with the streamer that encompasses new shows, films and two additional stand-up specials from Gillis a significant expansion of his presence on the platform.
The comedian has been riding high in his career. In 2026, he hosted Netflix’s Roast of Kevin Hart and has been drawing massive crowds with stadium comedy tours.
With ‘Tires’ officially coming back, Gillis will continue building his Netflix portfolio while the streaming giant doubles down on its comedy offerings.
For fans of the show, the takeaway is simple: Will and Shane’s reign of chaos at Valley Forge Automotive Center is far from over.
